Meet John

I founded Hankley Homes in 2014 after a successful international career in the fashion industry. Working with leading global brands across London, New York, and Asia gave me the opportunity to travel extensively and experience inspiring architecture, design, and craftsmanship around the world. Seeing beautiful homes, historic buildings, and contemporary developments in different countries strengthened a passion that had always been there for architecture and construction.

Before starting Hankley Homes, I held senior management roles with French Connection, Gap Inc, Limited Brands, and Mast Industries. These positions gave me extensive experience leading complex projects, managing global teams and supply chains, overseeing budgets, maintaining quality standards, and delivering results in fast-paced environments. Today, those same principles are at the heart of Hankley Homes.

Based in Farnham since 2013, we work across Surrey, Hampshire, Sussex, Berkshire, London, and the South East. We specialise in high-quality residential construction, including bespoke new-build homes, redevelopment projects, apartment schemes, and modular construction.

I stay closely involved throughout every stage of a project, from design and planning through to contractor management, quality control, and final delivery. I believe successful projects are built on trust, clear communication, and attention to detail.

We are passionate about building exceptional homes and work closely with leading architects, designers, and specialist contractors to deliver outstanding results. We have extensive experience delivering complex, highly detailed buildings, with every project tailored to the client, site, and setting. No two homes are the same—each one is bespoke and completely unique.

We stay up to date with the latest building technologies, energy-efficient solutions, and modern construction methods, while also maintaining a strong understanding of the best materials, products, and finishes available. From natural stone and bespoke joinery to premium kitchens, luxury bathrooms, and carefully considered interiors, every detail is chosen to create homes that feel timeless, elegant, and built to the highest standard.
